Occupational Therapist

Alessia Ragno recently earned her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Toronto. Prior to this, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and earned a Certificate in Disability and Physical Activity from Queen’s University.

Alessia is passionate about empowering children and families to achieve their goals through meaningful, play-based interventions. Her approach emphasizes building on each child’s individual strengths and abilities during key developmental stages, fostering growth, skill development, and overall well-being.

Her experience includes assessments and therapeutic interventions across schools, hospitals, and community settings, where she has helped enhance people’s functional abilities through evidence-based, client-centred practices. Alessia has also contributed to research, including developing a web-based outcome measure for paediatric prosthetics, demonstrating her commitment to advancing the profession.

Outside of work, Alessia enjoys fitness classes to stay active, attending ballet classes to continue her love for dance and creativity, and spending quality time with friends and family.
