We are looking for a psychologist who can carry out psychoeducational assessments of schoolaged children. We are particularly looking for someone interested in dedicating a concentrated amount of time to testing. Job Summary
- Provide comprehensive psychological assessments exploring a wide range of learning, attention, and/or mental health needs.
- Responsible for administering and scoring psychological measures of children and adolescents from diverse backgrounds.
- Generate clinical summaries and reports of psychometric results in order to provide feedback to the assessing psychologist and the multidisciplinary team.
- Provide observations relevant for interpretation of assessment results and offer
recommendations for intervention. - Follow an evidence-based approach to assessment.
- Manage a varied caseload and meet required timelines.
- Maintain complete and accurate medical records using the Electronic Medical Record system.
- Summer contract position. Opportunity to extend as well.
Qualifications
- M.A. or Ph.D. in Psychology (Ph.D. students and students in supervised practice
welcome). - Course work and previous clinical experience in administering and scoring psychometric measures with children and adolescents.
- Knowledge of child and adolescent psychosocial development and psychopathology.
Experience/Skills
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in psychological assessment with children and adolescents.
- Prefer experience in working with pediatric mental health concerns.
- Collaborate effectively with members of a multidisciplinary team and work independently.
- Apply evidence-based practices in assessments and interventions.
- Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills in various situations.
- Maintain a high attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Interact effectively with children and adults, utilizing excellent interpersonal skills.
- Manage time efficiently and demonstrate strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrate grit and adaptability in challenging situations.
