Occupational Therapist

Alessia is a recent graduate from the University of Toronto, where she obtained a Master’s in Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy. Prior to this, she earned an Honours Bachelor of Applied Science in Early Childhood Studies from the University of Guelph and a Diploma in Early Childhood Education.

Alessia’s passion for paediatric occupational therapy stems from her deep commitment to supporting children and families in achieving their goals in a positive and empowering way. She is particularly drawn to working with children because of the opportunity to make a significant impact during critical developmental stages. Her practice is centered around a strengths-based approach, focusing on each child’s unique abilities and potential to develop personalized, play-based interventions that enhance their growth and development.

Her experience spans specialized schools, daycares, private clinics, community organizations, and hospitals. Driven by a belief in the potential of every child, Alessia is committed to using innovative, evidence-based strategies to help them achieve their fullest potential and enhance their quality of life.

Outside of her professional responsibilities, Alessia enjoys connecting with nature, participating in workout classes, staying active, and baking. These activities help her maintain a balanced and fulfilling lifestyle, which she believes positively influences her approach to therapy and personal well-being.
